My last class at college...

In my first year of college I did my first class of English. In that time I remember that Crystel, a girl from the United States, gived the class. Everyone in the class was new at college. We were all in our firt year of college,  we were pretty excited for everything and we work hard to do our best, so the class run out fast and it was a pretty good one. I created the blog those days, I remember working really hard in my gramma with the blog, because I have alwa
ys difficults with the gramma in English.

Four years later, in 2013, I still having difficults with my gramma. I decided to take this class for the same reason, this is not a obligatory class so I do not have to take it if I do not want it, so of course I wanted to take English IV because I like to get better in this languagues.

I like take this subject at the university. I enjoy to take things different of the regular classes, things like languages, sports or any other thing that seems interesting for me I will do it.

About the blog I have to say that I do not like it that much, but it is because I am too lazy some time to write, but it does not mean that  I do not know that is good for me and I reconized that is a good way to get better on my gramma plus that blog is only ones a week so its good enought for me.

Unfortunatelly out side the English class I do not use much English these days. I only go to see some movies in English, I am always listen some anglo music too, but beside that I realized that I do not speak any english in normal days and I am not reading much in English either.

So to take English IV at college, it is for me a pretty good subject to get a little better in something that I really like...

So much to do yet....

This year has run out so fast. I really did a lot of things that I can mention. For example some good things that happend to me this year are:  First I got into a public services for first time. In the middle of this year I got the oportunity to start a pre-practice in the AGCI. This is a public service of Chile, that works in cooperation among the countries of the world and Chile. So I got my pre- practice there and I can say that I have been learning so much about how it´s to work in this type of organization in that makes me really happy.

Something that I did not do so well this year are body excersises. I mean I did not train anything so my  body is asking me for help. I am working really hard at college in my last year, also I have this part time job in AGCI so I did not really have time to do anything else and that is making me really sad.

So my achievements this year basically are in college and at work, but I have serious problems to make it with my personal life, because I almost do not have personal life. Then I have to say that this year I was not much with my family, I did not go much to my town and I did not do much with my friends. My fault, so next year I have to get better on that.

Another important thing that I really have to do this year is to go on vacations. I need some time alone for myself, my boyfriend and my family ,without college, cellphone, internet, and the most important thing I need some time out of Santiago.

The good news is that I am going on vacations this summer. I have plans to go in febrery to Perú with my boyfriend and some friends, and also and January I am going to the beach with my family. What can go wrong when you are on vacations!? so basically I am really happy that the semester is almost over and I am gonna be free....

MAKING THINGS BETTER FOR OUR EARTH

I learned about environmental practices at school. When I was around five and remember my first time that my teacher told us to go class with plastic bottles to make brickwork. My classmate and me thought that it was some kind of craft, but actually we were building a wall to play with. In that time my teacher told us that if everyone should make walls with those kind of material to do recycle.
My parents were not really good doing recycle. In my school began a campaing to do recycle and I understood better that I should do something too with my parents and my family because we were really bad taking care of the earth.
After me, one day I remember my sister talking about how we, as a family, can do recycle too, and my parents began to take care too. So we really learned about recycle habits at the school.
I usually use my bike. I love her even she has a name, her name is Estela. We try to go together everywhere it such my favorite mode of transportation. My parents say that is not safe, but I don’t care because I feel really good at it.
I do not really enjoy any type of eco-organization, because I am too lazy to dedicate more time for it but probably one day I will, I know that I must do something else for my earth if I want to my children or grandchildren will live in a good place.

To reduced my carbon foodprint I almost do not print anything. I read mostly my work infront the computer and I think that our society need to do that. My parents print everything, even the bills the pay and I try everytime that I see them tell them how bad is that but they do not understand yet.

Money to eat!

I have to say that money is a very important thing to live. Probably nobody can live without it and unfortunately money is so important because everything in this life you have to do it with money. Even you can not eat if you do not have the money to buy food. It is pretty sad, but probably very soon you maybe pay for the air that you breathe.

I spend mostly of my money eating. I live on my own in Santiago and I am not very good at cooking so most of the time I buy the food that I eat. Also I buy some clothes, some stuff for college and I use public transportation that is very expensive too.

I am pretty good at managing my budget. I usually got some dificulties with it, when I have to buy a present or need something extra, but usually my parents can help in those cases.

If I were a millionaire I will buy several houses and live out of the rent. I think that is  a pretty good deal, you can continue with your life and live from the rents of your houses. Also I will help my parents with my younger brothers that will go to college. Because I am the oldest sister so after me, two others are going to college so I must help with that.

Thanks God that I have never had to pawn anything of my belongings, however if I had to pawn something I guess it would be some of my jewelry. Probably I can not pawn any other things because I do not have anything else valuable and I do not care much about jewelry so it would be alright for any necessity pawn something like that.

Gay rights and the Church of Chile.

One week before the last election, on November 9, it was the "Gay Parade Chile: Open Mind Fest" in downtown Santiago. The parade was organize for the  Movementent for Integration and Homosexual Freedom (MOVILH).
There were hundreds of people on the place, with friends and families, enjoyed the music, dances and performances of the gay parade.
To this celebration for the diversity were guests the whole the candidates for the presidence of Chile. However only five of them were there supporting the event. The candidates that attended to the celebration were: Roxana Mirana, Tomas J. Holt, Alfredo Sfeir, Franco Parisi and Marco Henriquez-Ominami.  Other two candidates send people therelike representative showing that they are pro-diversity. Also other two candidates, Evelyn Matthei and Ricardo Israel, do not response to the invitation and are publicly against to the gay marriage that was the topic that celebration was about.
Also the attendees and representantes of MOVILICH began a public argument against the catholic church of Chile, accusing them of a explicit intervention against gay marriage and orjurgate the catholic church do not been a political intervention actor in this subject.

FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE

I don´t really have a favorite band or artist or kind of music. I just like mostly every kind of music.
When I was little I really like the group call it MAZAPAN. Then, several years  after, I liked the space girls also the backstreetboys. Also in my family really like folclore so I came a fan of Violeta Parra, Victor Jara and some other groups like Intillimani.
In high school I began to like jazz I like a lot of bands from Chicago, I like singer like Stevie Wonder and also I like this new artist: Jamie Cullum. He is such a good singer he play piano so well and his songs are so powerful that make me like him too hahaha.
I have to say that I also like some type of reguetoon, bachata and salsa too, because those kind of music are so good to dance that they are good enough for me.
Today my favorite artist could be Stevie Wonder, he is such a good singer, I love his song "FOR ONE IN MY LIFE", it is such a good song it has everything to be good: i) good lyrics, ii) good music and a iii) good singer.
But I have to say that probably tomorrow I will have another favorite singer or song....

I love democracy!!!

Since I was born I  have heard a lot of people who were born in a dictatorship in Chile. They could not vote for mostly 20 years and they have to accept everything just the way it came.
I was born in the 90´s, just when democracy came back to my country and I was born inside a family who loves to vote and show that they are participing. For example, I grow up hearing my dad saying how important it is to live in a democracy and how important it is to be a citizen and participe on every decision that you can.
Today we are in front of an eleccion for a president coming in November 17. The new president of Chile also is gonna be the sixth president after democracy came back to our country and it could be for the second time a woman.
Of course I am going to vote in the next election, because I feel this is a right that we should use and most of all for ladies  because we won it several years after men.
Also I think the electoral campaings are getting better and better in this democracy since I was born. Years ago there were a lot of dificulties to control electoral campaigns, things like the money they were using or the things they were offering were not right, but in this time those things are really getting better.
A person that wants to run for a public position must have a really good reason and that reason should be public service.
I have never considered to be a politicians, because I like to be in the other side of the decisions more. Acctualy I like better the technical part of the politics.
I am from Rengo, small town south of Santiago, so I vote there. The campaing there is not as good as I would like, because the major of the city has a lot to say about it but I guess it is something that many times you can not control for the idiosyncrasy that such a small town like Rengo has.
