Gay rights and the Church of Chile.

One week before the last election, on November 9, it was the "Gay Parade Chile: Open Mind Fest" in downtown Santiago. The parade was organize for the  Movementent for Integration and Homosexual Freedom (MOVILH).
There were hundreds of people on the place, with friends and families, enjoyed the music, dances and performances of the gay parade. 
To this celebration for the diversity were guests the whole the candidates for the presidence of Chile. However only five of them were there supporting the event. The candidates that attended to the celebration were: Roxana Mirana, Tomas J. Holt, Alfredo Sfeir, Franco Parisi and Marco Henriquez-Ominami.  Other two candidates send people therelike representative showing that they are pro-diversity. Also other two candidates, Evelyn Matthei and Ricardo Israel, do not response to the invitation and are publicly against to the gay marriage that was the topic that celebration was about.
Also the attendees and representantes of MOVILICH began a public argument against the catholic church of Chile, accusing them of a explicit intervention against gay marriage and orjurgate the catholic church do not been a political intervention actor in this subject.
